What is a "shadow day" and how do they work?

Shadow days are a part of the application process for all new students in our lower and middle school. These are two consecutive days on our campus where a prospective student will come and fully participate in class at their current grade level. These days include breakfast and lunch. During the shadow days, the student will be assessed by our teachers. This assessment will help the admissions committee determine the academic fit within The New School.
