Fundraising
The New School, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1971 to provide quality educational experiences for children in Northwest Arkansas.
Like most independent schools, The New School relies heavily on the generosity of our families and community to meet annual expenses. Tuition and fees cover only 89 percent of our annual expenses, the remaining amount must be raised through successful fundraising activities.
Supporting The New School is a solid investment in your child’s future. The school provides students an excellent educational foundation for future academic endeavors. Your contribution helps our school provide low student-teacher ratios, quality art and enrichment activities, foreign languages, athletic and recreational activities, before and after school care and much, much more. Your support helps ensure that The New School can recruit and retain the area’s highest quality teachers and staff.
Support from parents, grandparents, alumni and friends is vital to ensuring The New School continues to offer the highest quality education for the children of Northwest Arkansas.
The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund Drive is a direct mail campaign, sent out in early November, to parents, grandparents and friends of our students. This is our school’s largest and most important fundraising event of the year. The drive is critical to our school’s fund-raising efforts and everyone is encouraged to support the school by making a gift to the Annual Fund.
Participation by each family is vital to our success. Participation shows support of The New School’s mission of inspiring a love of learning and empowering students to reach their potential for academic achievement, creativity, and citizenship.
The Annual Fund directly supports our exceptional faculty and staff, our low student-teacher ratios, our outstanding enrichment activities and improvements to or facilities and equipment. Since tuition and fees cover only 89 percent of our annual expense, the Annual Fund is critical to achieving a balanced annual budget.
The New School is a non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.
Children's Fun Run
The New School Children’s Fun Run, held every October, is an opportunity for children ages 2 years old to 7th Grade to participate in several different track events. The Fun Run is not exclusively for New School students, but for children area-wide.
All registered children receive a t-shirt and all runners receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third places in each race.
Pre-registration before event day is $25 per entrant. Children may also register on race day for $30.
Registration forms will be available on October 1st, 2009.
La Fiesta
La Fiesta is our annual spring fundraising event. Parents, staff, and friends of The New School come together for a night of live music, food and drink, and fun auctions and give-aways. The next La Fiesta will be on May 8th, 2010. Mark your calendar, and stay tuned
