Preschool Admissions
The New School seeks to enroll students who will benefit from its mission and programs. The goal of the school is to select a well balanced and diverse student body composed of students who will be successful in the traditions of The New School. Inquiries are welcome and parents of candidates applying for admission should telephone or inquire online for an appointment to meet with the admissions staff and to tour the school.

Admission Policy
Parents interested in enrolling their child in our preschool program should contact the school as soon as the child is born. Upon reviewing the admission and program information, parents should contact the Preschool Director for a tour of the facilities. Our preschool classes are arranged according to children's attendance schedules with classes for full-time students and part-time students offered at each age level. Preschool enrollment is for the full calendar year.
Full-day and half-day schedules are available.
Students in the preschool program are placed in our waiting pool upon completion of a Pre-Enrollment Form, and payment of the $250 enrollment fee. Students not offered a placement in the two-year-old program are welcome to remain in the waiting pool. Parents are also given the opportunity to defer enrollment in our program until the child is ready for the three or four year old program.

Tuition & Fees
A New School education is a major investment in your child's future. The school works to assist families to meet this commitment through a variety of payment plans and need-based financial aid.
Tuition inlcudes:
- Full Days from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. or Half Days from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Before school care from 7:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks.

Preschool students entering The New School should present current immunization records and a well-child physical assessment prior to admission.

Financial Aid
Financial aid is available through The New School Scholarship Program to income-eligible families in the form of tuition reductions. The Financial Aid Committee will review applications and award financial aid in May and August of each year.
