Student Handbook > Attendance Policies > Tardiness

It is important that students arrive each morning on time.

Students arriving late disrupt the morning routine and interfere with the teachers’ planned activities. In addition, students may feel embarrassed when arriving late.

Students should arrive in time to be settled into their classrooms and ready for instruction to begin at 8:30 a.m. Students who need to eat breakfast at school should arrive by 8:00 a.m. Parents who need to speak to their child’s teacher should see the teacher before the instructional period begins at 8:30 a.m.

Tardies will be recorded on the student report card. We hope that every parent will make a conscientious effort to get his/her child to school on time.
