Jack Sweeney | February 1 | Cougar Chronicle

On January 11, Nancy Lang announced the tuition reset to our parents and the larger Northwest Arkansas community. The response from current parents and their appreciation has been amazing. The word of the TNS Tuition Reset is out and the admission office has been busy with processing re-enrollment contracts and setting up tours for prospective families.

Re-enroll Today

The deadline for our families to re-enroll is February 7 and I hope you all will commit to the 2021-2022 academic year and continue to be a part of our community. After February 7, we will open enrollment to prospective families. Based on the response from the tuition reset and the number of prospective families requesting tours, I believe we will have waitlists in many classes. Please complete the re-enrollment contract as soon as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

I am excited to introduce two new additions to the advancement office. Amy Anderson who many of you already know will be joining the office as an advancement officer. Channing Baldwin will be joining the advancement office as our communications officer. I am excited about the team we are forming and wanted to give Amy and Channing an opportunity to introduce themselves.

From Amy Anderson, Advancement Officer

I am excited to have accepted the position of advancement officer and to be a part of the team Jack is building for the advancement office.  Many of you may already know me as I joined the TNS family last year as the assistant to Heads K – 12.  Or you may know me because I am also the mom of Lily in 1st grade and Jake in 9th grade.

I am originally from Fayetteville, graduated high school from FHS and then earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hendrix College and Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas – Little Rock.

After graduating from Hendrix, I worked six years in the admission office there, eventually becoming the Director of Admission and then an additional seven years doing admission for an independent school in San Antonio.  I left the admission world when my family joined the U.S. Department of State and the Foreign Service.  For 10 years, I had the amazing opportunity to live in Mexico, Honduras, Barbados and France and was fortunate to have been able to work in the U.S. Embassies in those countries.

Throughout my entire professional career, I have devoted myself to helping families, planning events and making sure everyone I work with receives exceptional customer service. I am thrilled to be back in the independent school setting and look forward to helping advance the school both through enrollment and development initiatives.

From Channing Baldwin, Communications Officer

Hello everyone! My name is Channing Baldwin and I am the new communications officer here at The New School. I was born and raised in Springdale and it is confirmed that I learned how to call the hogs before I knew my ABCs. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. After graduation, I began working as a marketing intern at Ozark Dermatology in Fayetteville where I was able to learn more about social media marketing, website management and event planning. I am so excited to join The New School and feel extremely grateful to be a part of such an innovative and collaborative community. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon - even if it is behind a mask!

Thank you to Amy and Channing for introducing themselves. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you. Please do not forget to re-enroll by February 7!
