Dear K-6 Families,
Communication between parents and teachers is a vital part of student success. One main way our teachers communicate is through Blackbaud.
How do I find my child’s grades?
Once logged into Blackbaud, parents can view up to date grades and teacher comments. If a parent has multiple children attending TNS, please select each child in the left hand corner to access this information.
Want to know more details about your child’s grades?
Begin by select “grade detail” and the details of each assignment will appear, such as assignment requirements or grading rubcris. Here you can also see if a teacher has posted a comment regarding your child’s assignment. Additionally, grade detail also has more information regarding the categories of the assignments.
How do I know if my child has any missing assignments?
By clicking on “Assignments,” parents can see their child’s upcoming and current assignments. If a student is missing any assignments, there will be a red “missing assignments” box under the date.
How do I know what is happening at the school and see current events?
By selecting the “homeroom class” under “courses,” parents can access the grade level Friday Notes, pictures of our school week, as well as any upcoming events.
What do I do if I am having trouble accessing Blackbaud or need help finding this information?
Please check this “Getting Started with Blackbaud Guide” provided by our IT Department. If you have additional questions, contact Jack Sweeney at firstname.lastname@example.org or Jade House at email@example.com. Jack and Jade would be happy to assist you with any questions.
By engaging with our child’s assignments and academic lessons through conversations, observations and asking questions, parents are able to take part in the meaningful learning opportunities your child experiences every day at school.
