Head of School Scholarship Program
The Head of School scholarship program is designed to provide opportunities for prospective students in grades 7-11 who are interested in a college preparatory education and believe in The New School’s core values - Curiosity, Character and Community.
This scholarship is offered to prospective students entering grades 7 – 11 and applying to The New School for the 2020-2021 school year. Eligibility is based upon:
- an admission application, teacher recommendations, transcripts and an on-campus interview.
- demonstrated academic achievement, citizenship and leadership potential.
Write a letter of interest to the Director of Enrollment stating why you should be considered and what The New School's education would mean to you. Complete the admission application process by March 15, 2020.
The Admission Committee will begin to review all scholarship applicants after March 15, 2020. Recipients will be notified after the committee has completed the review process. Without a complete admission application and a letter of interest, students will not be considered for the Head of School Scholarship Program.
Head of School Scholarship Awards
Students selected as recipients of the Head of School Scholarship will receive annual awards ranging between $2,500 and $15,000. The total number of awards and the amount of each award will be at the discretion of the school.
Scholarships will be renewed on an annual basis for each year they are enrolled at The New School, contingent upon the student remaining in good standing socially and academically.
