Music Lessons

Music lessons for piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, violin and voice take place either before school (7:30-8:30am) or after school (3:30-6:00pm) and sometimes during the student’s music class or recess break. Teachers pick up students from their class or after-school location and return them after the lesson. The business office will charge the per month rate to the student account at the beginning of every month. Online registration is available through My Backpack, and students may add at any time throughout the year. To cancel at any time, contact Jonny Schremmer at

Registration for Music Lessons will open August 9th.

Costs for Lessons

The monthly fee of $100 includes 29 half-hour lessons throughout eight months of the school year (14 lessons in the first semester and 15 lessons in the second semester), music books (if necessary) and a spring recital during Arts Week in April. The business office will charge the per month rate to the student account at the beginning of every month.

School Calendar

Lessons begin right after Labor Day and go through the end of April with a week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks off for winter break, and a week off for Spring Break. The month of May is for makeup lessons. The monthly fee for lessons is the average of these weeks across the eight months, and monthly tuition does not vary through the school year.

We understand that scheduling conflicts and illness sometimes prevent your child from being at school for their lesson. We ask that you give your child’s music lesson teacher at least six hours notice when canceling a lesson in order for the lesson to be rescheduled. There is no refund or credit for lessons canceled by the student. If the teacher has been given adequate notice, lessons will be rescheduled within 30 days. If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible and the lesson will be rescheduled within 30 days. If a lesson is missed due to a Monday holiday or field trip, the teacher will work with you to reschedule the lesson within 30 days. If you do not receive a lesson due to a teacher or school cancellation, you will receive a credit on your account for the missed lesson at the end of the semester.
